TWO SUBJECT RULE
  Candidates sitting for the CBF/IABF Examinations for the first time are required to attempt at least two subjects at the first sitting. However, they will receive credit (s) for the subject(s) in which they secure pass/es.

LANGUAGE MEDIA CBF & DBF EXAMINATIONS
  Exams are conducted in
• Sinhala
• Tamil
• English
  Candidates aspiring to proceed to the UK based degree programs are required to sit for the DBF/DABF examination in the English medium only.

NEW ACADEMIC PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION RULES
  (a) Registration of new student members for CBF was discontinued from January 1, 2014. Accordingly, new members will be registered only for IABF, from January 1, 2014.
  (b) Student members registered on or before December 31, 2013 who have already completed or completes CBF during the permitted period have the option to proceed directly to DABF or DBF at their discretion. However, these members are strongly advised to follow IABF in view of its highly important subject coverage when compared with CBF to show better knowledge and qualifications.
  (c) Student members who have received exemptions from CBF on or before 31 December, 2013, have the option to proceed to DABF or to DBF at their discretion on the basis of such exemption.
  (d) Examination for CBF and DBF will be continued for two years until September 2015 and extension for another two years will be considered depending on the number of member requests.
  (e) Current student members in CBF can switch to IABF at any time they wish. However, no subject exemptions will be permitted for IABF based on subject passed in CBF.
  (f) Examinations for IABF and DABF will start in September 2014.

ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES
    Attending a course of lectures/tuition is optional for all candidates sitting the CBF/DBF/IABF/DABF Examinations
